“I consider myself an activist as well as an artist, so using my artwork to challenge the stereotypes and discrimination faced by those in the caravan is one way to change attitudes and help them receive the assistance they need. The caravan may not always receive the same level of attention, but those who are part of it continue to struggle in even worse conditions and continue to need a voice to communicate the truth about their journey, their suffering, and their hopes.”
